So here we are on our second trek since Maury has been Stake President. We enjoyed it just as much as the first time we went and enjoyed spending the two and a half days with all the youth. We went 18 miles this time and Char had to take a break on the second day as a blister on her foot got too big and uncomfortable to keep walking on. The private property we stayed on for the second night was beautiful and peaceful as you can see in the picture. Other than the blister, we were able to keep up and have a good pace. The testimonies of the youth were very inspiring on the last day. They had all learned many things and grown in their appreciation for the pioneers, their families and all the leaders who had spent so much time in preparation for Trek. We were blessed with good weather for the whole event and savored our soft beds and a good shower when we got home.

how cool! Our stake is doing this next summer....I am excited for Jessica to get to go....wish we did it when i was a youth! part of me would love to be asked to go....i have heard nothing but good things from anyone who goes!
