Seaside Seashell cake

Here is a wedding cake I recently did for a friend of mine who got married on Martha's Vineyard. I schlepped all of my supplies over to the Island and assembled the cake on-site. It was right on the water and couldn't have been more picturesque.
The bottom tier is carrot cake and the top 2 tiers are red velvet and enrobed in a pale aqua cream cheese frosting. The sand is made up of a graham cracker mixture and the coral is royal icing. The seashells are molded from wafer chocolate and then I painted on a luster dust to give them depth.

Wow Trish! Your creations are so creative and fun. I love how the seashells turned out. I thought they were the real deal until I read that they were edible. Great job!
